Pan African Federalist Movement holds a 3rd Interuniversity Symposium at Makerere University

The Pan African Federalist Movement just completed its 3rd Interuniversity Symposium at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda on May 25, 2024.

The once in a year event brought together students and activists from major countries in Africa. The theme of the symposium was “Guaranteeing a safe environment for a digital Pan African System as we Create a centre of gravity for the United African States (UAS),”

The symposium aimed to encourage discussions about the vision of a safe digitally, politically and economically connected Africa.

The event attracted university students leaders from 25 universities who gathered to define the way forward for Pan-Africanism.

Dr. Aidoo stressed the importance of getting young people involved in the federalist movement and highlighted universities as breeding grounds for future leaders.

As the famous Pan Africanist Dr. Akwasi Aidoo said “The youth aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow; they’re the leaders of today. Their energy and ideas are essential for driving the Pan-African agenda forward,” the symposium was keenly focused for the young university students.

The event also aimed at making the African race better recognized on the world stage

The event coincides with African Liberation Day in Uganda scheduled to take place in Kololo independence ground.

The symposium was closed by the Guest of honor, the Ambassador of the Federation of Ethiopia HE. Etsegenet Bazabih.
