Uganda power supply company Umeme has announced that it will resume connection of power to the Households which had applied but didn’t get connected.

Speaking to this publication on Monday, Umeme service provider noted that the program had been stopped for a while but they have resumed.

Power a nightmare in the sebei region

There is little to celebrate even if many households are connected to the national grid.

Sebei residents have been experiencing a lot of power outages in the region. Power rarely spends 24hrs which affects most of the businesses in the area.

The outage has also caused a lot of insecurity since the criminals take advantage of the darkness.

Sebei residents call on their leaders to intervene

Several residents have taken to different social media platforms requesting their area leaders to intervene and call on Umeme service providers to order.
