Onana’s return to Uganda in doubt as Kenya fears Ugandans

The football Federation of Kenya has reportedly written to the management of Amahoro stadium, Rwanda seeking to host their upcoming game between Harambe Stars and Cameron over fears that Ugandans may support Cameron over them because of Manchester United goal keeper Andrew Onana during the AFCON qualifiers next month.

Earlier this month, during the away game between Cameron and Zimbabwe, Ugandan Manchester United fans stormed the stadium in big numbers to support Onana who was a major center of attraction.

Ugandan Manchester United fans were seen chanting, cheering and waving Manchester United fans trying to make him feel welcomed throughout the game.

Even after the match ended, a crowd of Manchester United fans followed Onana up to outside the stadium prompting the police to whisk him away for security purposes.

The videos have been trending and it featured in sky sports TV. Onana also posted on his social media accounts telling Ugandan Manchester United fans that he will be returning to Uganda informing them to get ready.

Following this, it’s understandable with the fears Kenya have towards hosting their game with Cameron in Uganda.
