Despite this, the dedication of the coaches and athletes never went unnoticed as some of the athletes with support from their colleagues managed to win some medals.

- Algeria ranks number 2, in Africa with 3 medals, 2 gold and 1 bronze and ranking number 37 worldwide.
- South Africa ranks number 3 in Africa with 6 medals , 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze and ranking number 42 worldwide.
- Ethiopia ranks number 4 in Africa with 3 medals, 1 gold and 2 silvers and ranking number 49 worldwide.
- Egypt ranks number 5 in Africa with 3 medals, 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze and ranking number 51 worldwide.
- Botswana and Uganda ranks number 6, with 2 medals, 1 gold and 1 silver respectively and ranks number 55 worldwide.
- Morocco ranks number 7 in Africa with 2 medals, 1 gold and 1 bronze and ranking number 60 worldwide.
8.Cote D’Viore, and Zambia ranks number 8 with 1 bronze medal and ranking number 8 world wide.
