Voter Registration Update Kicks Off in Kapchorwa District

Kapchorwa, Central Division – The voter registration exercise has officially commenced across different parts of Kapchorwa District, with the Central Division reporting a smooth start to the process.

Speaking live from Kapchorwa Central Division, the area supervisor, Chelimo Sophie, expressed optimism about the turnout on the first day. She noted that a moderate number of residents had shown up to register, which she found encouraging.

“Our team is well-prepared to ensure a seamless registration process. We are committed to ensuring that every eligible voter is registered,” Sophie said.

She emphasized the significance of the exercise, describing it as a critical step in preparation for the upcoming elections in the district. Kapchorwa District comprises 11 sub-counties and 3 divisions, including Central Division, where she oversees the electoral process.

Sophie added that while the initial turnout was moderate, she expects more residents to participate as the registration continues.

The exercise is seen as an essential step in promoting civic engagement and ensuring that all eligible voters have an opportunity to take part in the democratic process.
