Isaac Ssemakadde Kimeze elected president Uganda Law Society (ULS)

Controversial lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde Kimeze has been voted as the new president of Uganda Law Society (ULS). Ssemakade won the elections on Saturday with a huge margin of votes.

He garnered 2101 votes against his opponent Counsel Atukunda Moses who got 920 votes.

Ssemakade voted in by his fellow counsel who they were together in the bang the table demonstration. Many of the lawyers who voted today, joined Ssemakadde in the “bang the tables” drive that saw Ssemakadde who they believed is an activist to take on the job.

Ssemakadde recently labeled Uganda’s Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka as the wrong man for the wrong job, a charlatan who never deserved to lead the bar.
