During #MTP4(Medium Term Plan) Forum in Kiambu, Moses Kuria reiterated the government’s dedication to reducing the high cost of living faced by Kenyans.
While reflecting on past achievements and challenges, Kuria outlined key strategies and emphasized the importance of unity and optimism in achieving socioeconomic progress in the next four years.
He talked about making healthcare better, especially by working together with both county and national governments. Kuria also talked about helping farmers to grow more food. He said when farming is good, life gets cheaper for everyone.
One of the focal points of Kuria’s speech was the integration of various healthcare initiatives, such as the Wamatangi care, into the broader framework of social health insurance schemes.
He emphasized the crucial role of county governments in supporting national endeavors like the upcoming rollout of social health insurance programs.
While acknowledging progress, Kuria candidly addressed existing challenges. He emphasized the imperative of translating plans into tangible actions, emphasizing the need for rigorous implementation and accountability across government agencies.
Kuria, aligning with Martin Luther King’s vision-driven approach, emphasized the importance of optimism and belief in Kenya’s potential for transformation.
However, Kuria cautioned against the corrosive influence of negative politics, tribalism, and corruption, which he identified as barriers to progress.
He called for a collective effort to overcome these challenges, stressing the need for national unity and inclusive growth.
Kuria said instead of just giving out money for school (like bursaries), the focus should be on creating jobs and helping businesses. He wants everyone to work together for a better Kenya, where everyone can have a good life.
