The Eastleigh neighborhood in Nairobi, Kenya, has been transformed into a vibrant celebration ground ahead of the upcoming Eid-Ul-Adha festivities.
The streets have been adorned with colorful decorations, lights, and banners, creating a festive atmosphere that reflects the unity of the Muslim and somali community in the coutry.
Today’s, Sunday morning majority of shops at Eastleigh remained closed as the decoration work continued. The preparations for Eid-Ul-Adha, which marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, have been underway for several days now.
The Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations are a significant event in Kenya, and the government has taken steps to ensure that the holiday is celebrated safely and peacefully by making Monday 17th a public holiday.
