As many people flocked kapchorwa town for the Elgon Radio explosion, Two machete/ panga welding young men robbed and almost raped a lady by the road side on the road leading to faith home’s on Thursday around 1:00 am at night.
According to one Leni who happens to be staying around the area, she heard the lady screaming for help and she had to come for rescue.
Afraid that they would end up murdering this lady, i went out to scare them off and to save a rape and then murder situation,” Leni said.
She added that the suspects had already removed the lady’s pants ready to eat her raw without spicing her up to make her sweet even.
“By luck this lady got a chance and slipped off this guy’s hands destructed by my presence.
The lady from kwosir managed to climb a very high fence into my custody until her relative came over to pick her. These guys with very bright torches threatened to throw stones and that’s when i noticed they were armed with a panga,” she said.
She further noted that the criminals also robbed a gentleman off his phone and money a short moment after.
She notes that the dual seem to be deadly and they seem to operate around the boma ground/ barawa area.
Relatedly, Another girl aged 17 years old was saved from chained rape of 5 boys.
According to one Caleb Noah, at 10pm, the girl had accepted one guy to wire her a quickie behind a bush along the road just before atar river, little did they know they were being followed by a park of 5 hungry boys, no sooner had the guy started than the park showered him with multiple punches.
Caleb noted that the managed to girl calmed the situation by telling them to organize themselves in order.
“i am enough for all of you” she said and ordered them that the activity is strictly to be done using protection.
She became the queen of the game by suggesting that they better move to a more secluded place deep into the dark bush,” Caleb added.
“The boyfriend who by this time was bleeding had escaped, that’s when he stopped my bike and requested me to help the girl. When we tiptoed to the scene, the five drunk boys were arguing on who should come first. The three claimed to have protection, so it was a matter of who is to start. We bounced in like the FBI with one more person I was with on the bike, as the rest ran for their lives we managed to catch-up with one who we gave a small beating before we let go. That’s how we saved a reckless 17 year old girl last night,” he said.
We spoke to the Sipi region police Spokesperson Fredmark Chesang about the incident and said they had not received any formal complaints about the incidents.
However he condemned the behaviors. He however noted that he had continuously advised women to avoid walking alone at night without someone who can protect them but some can’t listen.
