Juja, Kenya – A 20-year-old Ugandan woman has been arrested and detained at Juja Police Station in connection with the death of her 23-year-old Kenyan lover, Peter Macharia. The tragic incident, which occurred in the Mastore area of Juja, has left the local community in shock.

The suspect, identified as Cynthia Nakato, is alleged to have stabbed Macharia seven times during a heated argument. Juja Police Commander Jackson Sang confirmed the incident, stating that Macharia’s body was discovered on Monday, January 20. The wounds, inflicted primarily on Macharia’s right arm, proved fatal, according to initial police reports.

Nakato, who is reportedly employed as a bartender in the area, is believed to have been in a romantic relationship with Macharia. Witnesses and neighbors reported hearing a commotion on the night of the incident, prompting concerns of a possible domestic dispute that escalated violently.

Macharia’s body has been taken to Thika General Kago Mortuary for preservation as authorities await a postmortem examination to determine the precise cause of death. Meanwhile, Nakato remains in custody as police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the fatal altercation.

Authorities have urged members of the public to refrain from speculation and allow the investigation to take its course. Commander Sang emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully, noting the devastating consequences of violence in relationships.
