Police in Kween District are hunting for an 18 year old girl for hanging her 1 month old baby to death.
The incident happened in Titim Village, Cherakan parish, Kapkwata Sub-County in Kween District and the suspect has been identified as Sukuku Faith.
According to the eye witnesses, the young in-law of about 7 years whom they stayed together had gone to fetch firewood. However while returning home, she met the inlaw (mother of the baby) on the way and she had no child.
Putting in mind that the in-law was not carrying the baby, she had to rush to check if the baby was fine only to find that she was hanging dead.
Following the sad discovery, she had to inform the relatives and the neighbors who rushed to the scene.
It’s reported that after the baby was removed from the rope, it was discovered that she had banged the head of the baby on the ground severally and she had bends on the head.
However sources suggest that, they had internal conflicts with the husband who has been identified as Chelangat Marcos.
According to one of the residents, it’s alleged that Sukuku had caught the husband with another woman whom they had seared another child with.
It’s suspected that this could be the cause. The police from Kween District central police station were called. They visited the scene and recorded the statement from different eye witnesses as they launched the investigation to arrest the suspect.
