Kapchorwa, Uganda – Kawowo Secondary School has commemorated the exceptional performance of its students in the recent Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations, achieving an impressive 100% pass rate. This milestone marks a significant achievement in the school’s academic journey.
The celebration took place at the school premises, bringing together students, parents, teachers, the Board of Governors, the Parents-Teachers Association, and local officials. During the event, the top five students were recognized and awarded for their outstanding performance.
In a special recognition, Yokana Ibon, a member of the Board of Governors, presented the best-performing student with a cash prize of 400,000 Ugandan Shillings. The prize is intended for purchasing a smartphone to aid in research and educational advancement, encouraging students to leverage technology for learning.
Speaking at the event, Yokana Ibon praised the students for their hard work and dedication, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and academic excellence. The award ceremony reinforced Kawowo Secondary School’s commitment to fostering a culture of success and innovation in education.
