Today we shall explore some valuable tips with parents to support their children in having a healthy and successful academic year.
Ensure your child is up-to-date on all the recommended vaccinations as per the Ministry of Health’s guidelines. Consult with your doctor to be sure of their vaccination schedule.
Encourage good health habits like frequent hand washing, good hygiene practices, eating a balanced diet, and getting adequate sleep. Physical activities like dance and sport are very important.
Create a comfortable and supportive environment where your children feel safe to share their feelings, fears, and worries. Teach them relaxation skills like meditation and breathing.
Get your child a healthy pack consisting of a water bottle, medicines, a lunch box (with healthy snacks), and a 2025 calendar to stay organized.
Usually many children acquire coughs and flu during school days. According to statistics, coughs and flu are the most common children’s health problems, usually. Parents have a role to see how their children can navigate this complex health issue. During flu and cough seasons, children need to be taught to avoid contact with friends who are sick, wear face masks, cover their mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and stay home when unwell so that they may receive medical attention.
