Former US President Barack Obama to Visit Kenya Next Year to Establish Leadership School at University of Nairobi.


The Kenyan President William Ruto has announced that, former US President Barack Obama will be visiting Kenya next year to help establish a leadership school at the University of Nairobi.

This news will be a very big boost to the University of Nairobi fraternity, as the school aims to equip young African leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive positive change in their communities.


During his visit, Obama will work closely with the Kenyan government to create the leadership school, which will be modeled after the Kennedy School of Leadership at Harvard University.

The announcement comes as Kenyan President William Ruto revealed that he had requested Obama’s assistance in setting up the school during his recent state visit to the US.


“I requested him to assist us set up a school in the fashion of Kennedy School of Leadership in Harvard but this time to be a school of leadership in Nairobi University and I asked him, let us call it Barrack Obama School of Leadership in the University of Nairobi and he agreed and he will come here next year,” Ruto stated.


The establishment of the leadership school at the University of Nairobi is expected to be a significant addition to the institution’s academic offerings, providing students with a unique opportunity to learn from one of the world’s most respected leaders.

The school will also build on the work of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), which is closely associated with Obama and has already held several forums at Kenyatta University.
