President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni attended the graduation ceremony of 21 officers from the National Defence College, a prestigious institution that collaborates with Makerere University to offer a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies.
Museveni attended the ceremony in a military uniform.
In a post on his social media platform X, President Museveni shared highlights of his lecture and reiterated his commitment to core principles and national development.
“I passed out 21 graduates from the National Defence College in partnership with Makerere University in the Masters of National Security and Strategic Studies program,” the President announced.
“I lectured on principles of the NRM, emphasizing patriotism, Pan-Africanism, democracy, and socio-economic transformation through education and wealth creation.”
During his address, President Museveni underscored the importance of producing goods and services as a pathway to prosperity.
He stressed the need for economic integration to bolster regional and national economies, aligning with his long-held vision of a self-sustaining and robust African economy.
“Producing goods and services for prosperity and the need for economic integration are critical for our nation’s growth,” Museveni emphasized
“Lastly, I placed emphasis on the need for every one of us to fight corruption in order to enhance the efficiency of both public servants and the private sector,” he stated. “I congratulate the officers.”
