Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi went on X (formerly Twitter) today and openly criticizing UDA Secretary-General Cleophas Malala’s press statement after return from a business visit to China.
Sudi posted the press statement on X with the caption, “Elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju’s calibre.” The tweet, aimed at undermining Malala’s authority and competence, quickly gained attention in Kenya.
Oscar Sudi’s post was a response for Malala quoting the indiscipline of Githunguri Member of parliament Hon. Gathoni Wa Muchomba and Hon. Oscar Sudi as UDA party members.
In the press statement Malala wrote ” I have been deeply concerned by reports indiscipline of amongst a section of elected leaders within our party UDA.
My attention has been drawn to the fact that certain individuals have continued to show blatant disrespect to the party leadership, including the president.
This behavior is a unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the realms of the party.
I specifically address recent public sentiments and actions of Githunguri Member of parliament Hon. Gathoni Wa Muchomba and Hon. Oscar Sudi .”
Malala went ahead to give a stern warning against the leaders.
